Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first gymnast to score a perfect 10 in an Olympic occasion. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was just six years old. At first, she competed in the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969, she was 13th. And in 1970, won. In 1972, during a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she won 3 gold and silver medals. In 1973 and 1974, she became the overall junior champion. In her first international competition as a senior, in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion winning four gold medals and one silver. She was the first woman ever to successfully perform a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. The journey of Carol Wayne in the world of entertainment began as a teenager. Together with her twin sister Nina Wayne, she joined touring entertainment programs called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol entered the entertainment industry as a teenager. Her first job was as a model skater with her younger sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. They featured ice skating shows which included stage performances.
